In the Oven: Bake at 400°F for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on size of links. Turn halfway, cooking to an internal temperature of 160°F.
On the Grill: Preheat a grill to moderately low (325°F). While grill heats, simmer brats in liquid 10 to 15 minutes or until links turn white. Water will work, but brat fans swear by beer. To avoid piercing skin and releasing juices, use tongs to place brats on indirect heat. Grill until links are browned, with an internal temperature of 160°F.
