Let's Make Breakfast

Show kids how to make breakfast on their own! These three see-and-make dishes are a nutritious mix of kid-friendly foods.

Breakfast is an important meal—it gives kids (and adults!) the fuel they need to start their day. While kids might not know what a balanced blend of carbohydrates and proteins looks like, they can copy the dishes shown here. It’s never too early to learn good food habits!

Mug Omlet

Mug Omelet

Egg + cheese + pre-cooked bacon + broccoli + salsa + top with sour cream

Kid Tip!
Put filled mug in microwave and cook omelets for 1 to 2 minutes. Mug will be hot! When the microwave dings, let the mug stand a minute. Use oven mitts to handle mug. Add sour cream and eat carefully.

Banana Pops

Banana Pops

Banana + peanut butter + Fresh Thyme Fruity Unicorn O’s

Kid Tip!
Spread peanut butter with popsicle sticks, then poke sticks in the banana. Make these the night before and freeze to serve on hot summer days!

Fresh Thyme Soap

Apple Nachos

Apple slices + strawberries + vanilla Greek yogurt + blueberries + chia seeds + coconut chips

Kid Tip!
Don’t like Greek yogurt? Substitute sunflower or almond butter.

Parent Tip!
Fresh Thyme carries prepared convenience items such as hard-boiled eggs, pre-cooked bacon and sausage, and pre-cut fruits and veggies. Keep your child’s favorites on hand!
