Safety of Our Team Members and Our Customers

Dear Fresh Thyme Customers,

I would like to take a moment of your time to thank you for your continued support of our Fresh Thyme Market stores. I speak for everyone at Fresh Thyme when I tell you we are so very grateful for the trust you place in us every time you choose to shop in one of our stores. As we move into the Holiday season, which will likely be very different from what many of us are used to, I also wanted to reassure you about the measures we have taken and continue to take in each of our stores.

To assure the health and safety of our team members and our customers, Fresh Thyme Market stores adhere to the following protocols:

  • Everyone entering our stores — team members, vendors and customers — are required to wear a face covering;
  • For customers who are not feeling well or who are not able to shop in-store, we offer delivery services with both Shipt and Instacart, and in some stores with Door Dash;
  • All team members participate in daily health screenings when they arrive for work – these screenings include temperature checks;
  • We continue to provide appropriate safety supplies for team members, including masks, gloves and hand sanitizer;
  • All stores use social distancing floor decals to both remind customers to stay at least 6 feet apart and to help customers maintain social distancing at service cases in the stores;
  • Many of our stores have also instituted “One Way” shopping floor decals to direct customers thru the store in ways that limit close contact with others in-aisle;
  • Select Fresh Thyme Market stores offer special shopping hours on weekends for shoppers who may be at risk (check store pages on the freshthyme.com website);
  • Fresh Thyme offers support programs to team members which encourage them to stay home if they do not feel well or to care for a family member;
  • Sanitizing wipes are available in every store for customer use in wiping carts upon entering the store. In addition, we continue to follow strict cleaning protocols throughout the store;
  • We strictly adhere to government mandates and direction in all areas, including limiting the number of individuals in our stores as needed;
  • We have limited exposure to many “high touch” areas of our stores, adapting to provide the products customers want while adhering to the highest standards in limiting exposure to repeatedly touched fixtures – our salad and olive bars have shifted to pre-packaged offerings, our Bulk department has moved to only gravity fed items or pre-packaged goods. We continue to offer bulk freshly ground nut butters which are now ground in-store by team members.

These measures are a part of our everyday approach to business during this unprecedented time. We always put our team members and customers health and safety first. We work hard every day to provide you with what you’ve told us you want – real food at real affordable prices. Again, thank you for making Fresh Thyme Market your grocery store.
